What Is Degaussing ?

If you have tried to bring a magnet in close proximity with a Computer Monitor/T.V. , you must have noticed that the Monitor loses color or becomes black and white .They are very irritating.

Simply Put, Degaussing your computer screen , brings it back to its normal colors , removing those unwanted colors which are produced when you bring a magnet near to it.

How To Degauss ?

There are quite a few ways of Degaussing a Computer Monitor, but the easiest of them are :

1 . Degaussing through the monito's provided option : In some monitors , a " Degauss" button is provided . You simply have to press it , and the colors will be removed.If the button isnt provided,press the "Menu" button on your monitor."Menu" button is always provided,though it might be of some different name.There you will find a Degauss option.Select it and you'll be fine.

2. Bring a Soldering Gun Near The Monitor : Hold the gun such that its tip is away from the screen.Be sure that it should not touch the screen.Turn the gun on and slowly move it to the coloured part.You will see the color coming back!
